Week of Action Events in Texas

Texas Campus Compact coordinated a training of student leaders and staff coordinators from St. Mary’s University, Brookhaven College, Our Lady of the Lake, St. Phillip’s, University of North Texas, Trinity University, Collin County Community College, Texas Tech University, University of St. Thomas, Del Mar College, University of Texas-El Paso, St. Edward’s University and University of Texas-Brownsville on January 24-25 in Austin, Texas. Each of these teams planned a series of civic events for their campuses to be held during the Week of Action and the events are going to lead to a day at the Texas Statehouse on February 24 where students are going to meet with their legislators and also have concurrent resolution supporting student civic engagement introduced in the state house and senate.
