Day at the State Capitol
February 23, 2006 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
House Office Building, Downtown Lansing, Michigan

The Day at the State Capitol provides students across the state with the opportunity to "Raise their Voices" on higher education and other social issues at the Capitol. Students who are involved on their campuses in community service, social justice work, and/or political activism are encouraged to attend. Discussions will take place around 2 November 2006 ballot initiatives: affirmative action and an educational funding guarantee. Student will observe House and Senate sessions, discuss key issues with legislators, create action plans for the November ballot initiatives and network with other student advocates.
