Maine Campus Compact's Days at the Statehouse
March 8th and 9th
Augusta, Maine
Maine Campus Compact has partnered with the office of the Secretary of State, Beth Edmonds, to bring Maine college students this two day event of training, hands-on experience, and celebration. On Day 1, students will receive training from lobbyists and legislators on how the legislative system works and how to best communicate with legislators. On Day 2, students will have the rare opportunity to meet one-on-one with senators. Each student will be paired with a senator for a day of committee hearings, legislative session, and caucuses. Day 2 will also host Maine Campus Compacts awards ceremony, where student and faculty leaders will be honored for their commitment to service learning and civic engagement.
Students are encouraged to register for one day or both.
