"Campuses vie to expand voter rolls"

"Student organizers from 20 Oklahoma college campuses will compete to register the most voters Wednesday and Thursday during the third annual VOICE Voter Registration Contest.

The event is sponsored by Oklahoma Campus Compact's Vocal Oklahomans in Civic Engagement initiative, a part of the national Raise Your Voice campaign.

The winner will be announced Oct. 3 and will be based on the percentage of students registered in comparison with campus enrollment.

The colleges are Cameron University, Connors State College, East Central University, Eastern Oklahoma State College, Langston University, Oklahoma Baptist University, Oklahoma City Community College, Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma Christian University, Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Oklahoma State University campuses in Stillwater and Okmulgee, Rogers State University, Rose State College, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Tulsa Community College campuses, University of Central Oklahoma, University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and Western Oklahoma State University."
