2004-2005:

Month of Action
February 20 - March 26, 2005
After on-campus voter registration efforts and the 2004 presidential election, Vermont Campus Compact is offering Month of Action mini-grants to help students connect to local issues and our local legislators. Mini-grants are available to help students on a VCC member campus host a local legislative event during the Month of Action (Feb. 20 - March 26) and create a policy statement from students. In addition to receiving a mini-grant, students will also receive valuable training and a toolkit to help create the policy statements, organize the event, and meet with legislators. We still have limited mini-grants available.

2003-2004:

2003-2004 will be a dynamic year for the Raise Your Voice campaign in Vermont. Vermont Campus Compact will kick off the year by co-sponsoring an alternative break site leader training with Johnson State College. Students will continue to be supported throughout the year with a statewide student conference, a spring networking day, mini-grants for the month of action, an arts and social change training, and many other networking and training opportunities.

Specifically, students across the state will be creating change on their campuses through the Civic Fellows program. These students will be addressing the most pressing needs on their campuses and increasing the capacity of other students to do the same. Vermont students can also connect to the Raise Your Voice Campaign through the Vermont Student Leadership Network list serve. This is the best way to share news, take advantage of resources and opportunities, and create networks for student issues in Vermont.
