2002-2003:
Civic Fellows New Hampshire student teams will act as Civic Scholars and Civic Reporters on host campuses. They will work together as a team to organize and facilitate campus dialogues around issues of importance to students, research and document existing opportunities for involvement on campuses. All fellows will be trained by and receive support from Campus Compact for New Hampshire. Civic Scholars will organize and facilitate dialogues on their campuses around campus or social issues students want to discuss. Civic Scholars will also help to create a student policy statement on civic engagement. Civic Reporters will research and document the opportunities for student involvement on their campuses. Their work will highlight the numerous existing programs and target areas where student voice is needed. Reporters will present their findings to their presidents, fellow students and other members of the campus community. At this time there are Civic Fellows placed on the following campuses: Dartmouth College, New England College, NH Technical Institute, NH Community Technical College-Nashua, Plymouth State College and Saint Anselm College.
National Student Civic Engagement Week Campus Compact for New Hampshire will subgrant to Civic Fellow host campuses to organize events that increase student involvement on campuses. Subgrants will also be available to student organizations not on host campuses to support activities during this week. Campus Compact for New Hampshire will also be hosting a statewide dialogue during this week. See 2003 Week of Action events in New Hampshire.
