INDIANA Campaign Activities
Indiana Campus Compact, in partnership with the Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Missouri Campus Compacts, has received a subgrant from national Campus Compact to conduct statewide and regional programs and events in conjunction with this campaign.

2003-2004:
Advisory Board Meeting October 3, 2003
Indiana Campus Compact will host the fall advisory board meeting on Friday, October 3rd in Indianapolis. During the meeting students on the leadership team will discuss issues related to the Raise Your Voice campaign specifically- mapping and dialogues. The full advisory board will be updated about the month of action and a Day at the Statehouse.
Campus Mapping Trainings
Regional trainings will be held in the fall of 2003. Each campus will be asked to bring their Community Service Director and at least 2 students from the mapping team to a training session. The regional trainings will be held at the following locations.
• Ball State University- September 26, 2003 1:00-3:00 (snacks provided)
• University of Evansville- October 9, 2003 12:00-4:00 (lunch provided)
• Manchester College- October 14, 2003 12:00-4:00 (lunch provided)
Dialogue grants available 2003-04 (on-going deadline)
Dialogue grants continue to be available on an on-going basis with notification 2-3 weeks after submission. Students can download an application from our website.
Community Service Mini-grants (due on a monthly basis)
Community Service Mini-Grants are available for students interested in designing and implementing quality, direct service projects that address community needs or problems. Projects may be one-day events or last for a full year.
Month of Action Grants
Month of Action Grants will be available in October with a due date of December 10th and notification date of December 21st. See 2004 Month of Action events in Indiana.
Day at the Statehouse February 16, 2004
Indiana Campus Compact will host the second annual Day at the Statehouse event on president’s day. We hope to increase participation by 25% this year and add a few more student speakers.
Student Service-Learning Conference April 2, 2004
Indiana Campus Compact is hosting the third annual Student Service Learning Conference. The conference will be held at Ball State University on April 2nd from 8:30am-3:00pm. We will be asking students to put on workshops, presentations, lead round table discussions, and present poster displays of service learning projects. Illinois Campus Compact will co-sponsor the event this year.
2002-2003:
A Day at the Statehouse

Students were able to:
• Meet state legislators
• Voice their opinion on important issues
• Get a tour and overview of state government
• See the Supreme Court in action
• Find out how to get more involved in their community
• Network with other students from across the state
• Learn more about Indiana's Unified State Plan for Service
The event began at 1:00 p.m. with a keynote address and refreshments. Every hour on the hour throughout the day guest speakers addressed topics such as the importance of civic involvement, current legislative issues, and advocacy. Every half hour tours of the statehouse were offered.
