Many legislators joined students in the lobby of the Indiana Statehouse and talked about how "it's a little different in Indiana" because politicians are quite accessible. This proved correct as many legislators not only came down from the House and Senate Chambers to vote but to speak personally with students as well.

Senator Vi Simpson joined the group of students in the lobby of the statehouse and reinforced how what they decide in the statehouse effects each student everyday.

Encouraging students to become educators and politicians, Representative Shelia Klinker spoke of "things more important than a paycheck".

Following comments from many legislators a student open mic featured a student from Purdue speaking passionately about the possibilities of loan forgiveness legislation.

Calling herself a community activist, Freshman Representative Terri Austin told students that they have the power to throw an election and encouraged them to use this power. She added that it's not enough to care but you have to vote and make sure others do too.
