RESOURCE GUIDE FOR STAFF AND FACULTY
WORKING IN SUPPORT OF ENGAGED STUDENTS

COLLABORATION

WITH STAKEHOLDERS ON CAMPUS

The mapping work that student leaders have undertaken as this program began should result in a list of individual and groups who are natural partners in the drive to challenge students toward higher level of engagement. The opportunities are endless but will vary from campus to campus. The work of student leaders to identify issues, individuals and student groups on campus and to capitalize on the existing interests and concerns of students is of utmost importance. While some staff members believe this is very challenging, our work in the opening months of this campaign suggests that students are very good at identify potential collaborators and reaching out to them. Staff support of collaborative approaches plays a critical role.
